IDES 237: Conceptual Portrait

The New Yorker Magazine has asked you to create an illustrated portrait to accompany an article about a currently famous and controversial person (of your choice). Page size 7.5 inches x 10.75 inches.

The portrait should convey not just the likeness, but also something of the subject’s character and/or defining quality and/or current situation. You may use whatever program you wish in the creation of this portrait. Due Week 9 – March 13th

Likely subjects include:

  • Donald Trump
  • Bill Cosby
  • Harvey Weinstein
  • Vladimir Putin
  • Kevin Spacey
  • Julian Assange
  • Kim Jong Un
  • etc.
